Mikey Azzara, Founder & Owner

A native of New Jersey and graduate of Middlebury College, Mikey farmed in Italy, Vermont and New Jersey and then served as the Outreach Director for the Northeast Organic Farming Association of New Jersey from 2003 to 2008, where he coordinated state-wide educational programs for organic farmers, gardeners, consumers, and youth. Building on this work, he established Zone 7 in the spring of 2008 to fill what he saw was a missing link in the local food system and helped co-found New Jersey Farm to School Network.

Mikey Azzara is involved in every aspect of the business, from sales and marketing to sourcing and inspecting produce, and is so proud of the Zone 7 team, who works together to come through for farms and customers every week.
